A Tea for All Occasions
New to teas? Here is a brief list of the types of teas commonly hosted and how you will find them at the Mariposa tearoom. Of course, all teas come with unlimited premium tea, sugar, and cream!
If you have a party of six or more, please Contact the Tearoom to discuss creating a private event. Private events can be hosted as any of these types of teas.
Cream Tea
The most affordable way to get your tea party fix! This service is simply scones, cream, and sometimes a curd or jam.
Cream Tea is available for Weekend seatings.
High Tea
Although often confused for the Afternoon Tea, a High Tea is often a more casual, hearty meal served after a day’s work. Centered around a savory main course, served in crockery, its place at Mariposa Teahouse may be on the brisk, shorter days of winter.
High Tea may be served at some Fireside Teas.
Elevenses
Think “French Cafe”! Enjoy a small breakfast sandwich or pastry with your tea.
Elevenses is not currently served at the Teahouse but can be requested for private events.
Afternoon Tea
What commonly comes to mind when you think of a tearoom. This beloved tradition features a tiered three course meal of savories, scones, and sweets. A “Full” tea may also include a salad, soup, or other additional meal course.
Afternoon Tea is available for Weekend seatings and may be the fare for some Fireside Teas.
Dessert Tea
A decadent platter of desserts, and sometimes fruit, to graze upon. Often times served alongside a cake.
Dessert Tea is available for Weekend seatings.
Royal /Celebration Tea
An Afternoon Tea with an added bonus—champagne! This service is not currently offered at the Teahouse.
